Faded was born in March 2003 in Matelica, Marche (Italy) as a side project of two members of Omonimo; Framaz and Mkh979.
The meaning of 'faded' itself is the foundation of the project; to propose a 'faded' music, with no strong or warm tones. The members base their music as an expression of feelings that in the Faded project became decadent, depressive and raging. Unlike the main project (Omonimo) where both musicians and the other five components use the extreme music as an evolution tool, to create new atmospheres, here they start with the essential and primordial black metal canons, and then expanding between more generes and harmonies.

2003 - Metamorphosis
During the beginning of 2003 Faded began to recording their first promo entitled "Metamorphosis", consisting of 3 new songs and a cover of the classic "Dunkelheit" by Burzum. Metamorphisis is considered the first vision black metal of Faded. A combination of raw black metal and folk harmoniesin a typically Nordic style. The promo was self-released on CD-R limited to 50 copies. Since the first work, the critics had good considering defining Faded one of the most promising bands in the extreme Italian scene.
2004 - Abandoned Shadows
Once completed the Metamorphosis Faded decided to begin immediately to compose new material for the publication of an entire album. At the beginning of 2004 Faded completed their first album titled "Abandoned Shadows", entirely self produced and recorded at the studio owned by MKh979. "Abandoned Shadows" is considered the natural continuation of the style of promo "Metamorphosis", starting from the black metal style previously proposed, Faded tried to develop their sound by fusing with harmonies and approach most depressive and doom. "Abandoned Shadows" was distributed around 500 copies on CD-R by independent Italian label "Il Male Production. The disc was a great success at the national level, with good sales and excellent reviews.
from 2005 to 2008 - Essences
During 2005 the Faded began recording new material for the new album "Essences". This new album is considered the first real step towards the stylistic turn of Faded. The duo felt need to experiment with new harmonies and blend multiple styles into a single entry. Initially the album was recorded, mixed and mastered entirely at the studio MKh in a first demo version at the end of 2005. The record in this version was never released, then the Italian label "Soundscapes" decided to publish it and distribute through "Avantgarde Music. "Essences" in 2008 was completely remixed and mastered with a new session drum performed by drummer Andrea Feliciani, always at the studio MKh. The disc was released on CD digipack and was reviewed by most important webzine in the world with excellent response.
